PhoneDrone Update

Hello Backers! 

We wanted to touch base with you and let you know that PhoneDrone is still progressing rapidly. It’s been a busy couple of months getting the details in place, but now it’s full steam ahead!

The companion app is finished and ready to go, all that remains is the drone itself. The new design has been finalized and we will be releasing these images at the beginning of September. Stay tuned! A factory has been selected to start mass producing PhoneDrone and the tooling process has begun for the injection molds.

A general timeline of things that remain before we start shipping: 

• We should receive the first draft of tooling in approx. 8-10 weeks at which time we will run a small test batch to see how the tooling turned out. 
• We will analyze the test batch and determine any adjustments that need to be made to the tooling in the following 2 weeks. 
• Adjustments will be made and another test batch will be run. We will spend any additional time thoroughly testing PhoneDrone to discover further adjustments that may be needed. 
• After this final refining process, we will be ready to pull the trigger on mass production and then the shipping process, before the holiday season.

You have all been patiently waiting for PhoneDrone and we want to express our deepest appreciation for your full support and interest in xCraft. 

Creating this one of a kind drone has been an incredible process. Designing the drone, creating the app, and testing both together has required our full attention to detail and we are focused on delivering PhoneDrone ASAP. 

Rest assured that xCraft is here to stay and will be delivering PhoneDrone Ethos this fall. Thank you all again for joining us on this revolutionary ride.

A PhoneDrone Summer!

Hello Backers! 

We hope your summer is going great! As you can tell by the video below, ours is flying high over Lake Coeur d'alene.

Here is some recent test footage from the PhoneDrone Beta Unit. 

A lot is happening here at xCraft with the development of PhoneDrone Ethos. We are still right on track to meet our shipping goal for this fall! 

The PCB, plastic parts, and app are to beta stage. We will be releasing a limited beta run this month to prepare for the first production run commencing the beginning of August.

Thank you all so much for your continued patience and support. We wouldn't be here without you and can't wait to start shipping the PhoneDrone Ethos to all of our great backers!

Hello Backers!

We wanted to check in with you all and let you know that things are progressing well with the development of PhoneDrone Ethos! We are right on schedule, with Beta units coming out in July and orders being filled in September. The craft has undergone rigorous refining and testing and we are now happy with our current prototype (pictures coming soon). Throughout the design process, we’ve been working to refine the craft and its functionality, so although we’ve been secretive, we want to surprise you with what we think is a great look! The controller app is also coming along beautifully and is ready to make your smartphone fly!

PhoneDrone Progressions

Spring is in the air and so is the PhoneDrone Ethos! Research and development has progressed to a flying version that is staying aloft and reactive to controls! Once the weather clears up we will get some more pictures to post for you. Now we just have to hone in our skills!

We have sent out some PhoneDrone rewards and want you to post some pictures in your shirts and we will post some of us in ours! Sharing is caring- and we are super excited to share with you our ideas and developments along this exciting adventure! Thanks for being a part of it.

Last call for Backerkit Surveys and a new Referral Campaign.

Hello Backers! 

The last day to fill out your BackerKit survey or pay for extra shipping is Monday, March 14th at 11:59 pm (PT), our order due date. We will still receive your information after this date, but your shipment may be delayed. 

If you need to review your information or pledge status, you can request your survey at <YourBackerKitProjectName>.backerkit.com. 

 For backers who have answered their survey, the last day to make final updates to your order is Monday, March 14th at 11:59 pm (PT). After this date, we will lock your reward selections and charge cards for add-on purchases, pledge upgrades, and pre-orders. 

Thank you all again for being so responsive to answering our BackerKit survey—even though it may not seem like much as an individual backer, you have no idea how tremendously helpful this has been for us when trying to keep track of all 1,256 of you!
